Dear Alli,

I met the most intriguing man this evening! Actually, I met a number of people this evening, but one stood out more than the rest. He goes by the name of Silent, and he was terribly mysterious, but not in that dangerous sort of mysterious way.

He seems a fair gentleman, in that mysterious way of course! He came in wearing a full white cloak, which was much of a delight to see after having so many dark cloaked strangers visit the tavern. If I remember it right, I swear he had blue eyes, which was a wonder to see in a man. So many in this land seem to have dark brown or simply black or red. Such queer eyes colors there are here.

Looking for a place to rest his weary bones was all he said he wished there, and asked for nothing more. I even offered him a drink, but he turned it down. And he had the most wonderful manners! Always calling me M'lady Brianne and just being so sweet about it. It is nice to see that some men in these lands have a bit of courtesy.

He did ask questions about the Kingdom and the lands and the personal all about the lands, but claimed he would not be comfortable in the lands as he was a wanderer. Which made me rather sad, really, as he did seem so kind and such a gentleman. He did say that he would stay within the kingdom, perhaps to watch and see if he could offer us help at all.

Maybe I should get myself kidnapped and see if he would come to save me! Oh what a dramatic ploy that would be! Almost like something right out of the plays that I am a part of.

Though then the most dreadful thing happened! Another man appeared and seemed to know Silent! They got into a very dangerous magical battle, though eventually the other man just simply disappeared. Shortly after, Silent left as well. Hopefully I will get to see him again though. He was such an interesing fellow.
